Karoo National Park

The Karoo National Park is situated in the Great Karoo of the Western Cape. It is  semi-desert, so the sparse vegetation makes it easy to see animals. It is home to the Springbok and Gemsbok (Oryx), Black Rhino and Lion. It is a Birder’s paradise and has the greatest number of tortoise species in any park in the world. The Karoo National Park is home to the endangered Riverine Rabbit.

Have breakfast in Meiringspoort before you spend a day experiencing this unique reserve. Enjoy the birdlife while your guide makes you a traditional South African lunch time favourite.

On our way back we will stop off at one of Klaarstroom's little gems for some local shopping.
