Swartberg Mountain Hike

The Swartberg Pass stretches for 280 km and separates the Great Karoo from the Little Karoo. Building of the Swartberg Pass started in October 1881 with the official opening in January 1888.

While exploring this mountain, look out for Chacma Baboon, Kilpspringer and Rhebok as well as many species of Protea and Sugarbirds.
